Crofton Baronets of Mohill (1801)

The Crofton Baronetcy, of Mohill in the County of Leitrim, was a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 26 July 1801 for Morgan Crofton, who had previously represented County Leitrim in the Irish House of Commons.

The first baronet was succeeded by his son, James Crofton, the second baronet, who also served as High Sheriff of County Leitrim. On the death of the second baronet in 1860, the title passed to his son, Morgan Crofton, the third baronet, a noted mathematician and Fellow of the Royal Society.

The line of succession continued through the third baronet's son, Morgan George Crofton, the fourth baronet, and then to his son, Morgan Ronald Crofton, the fifth baronet.

Upon the death of the fifth baronet on 27 November 1958, without male issue, the baronetcy became extinct.

The Crofton family held significant lands and influence in County Leitrim for many generations.
