Prosje
Prosje, in the context of certain South Slavic languages, particularly Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian, refers to a narrow, unpaved path, often a shortcut, used by pedestrians. It typically traverses a garden, field, or wooded area, and may be created by repeated foot traffic. The term implies a more informal and less maintained route compared to a formal path or road. While a staza (path) might be deliberately constructed, a prosje is more organically developed through habitual usage. The word carries a connotation of being slightly hidden or less obvious than a designated pathway.
