Costock
Costock is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, England, situated approximately 9 miles south of Nottingham. The parish's population was 598 in the 2021 census.
Historically, Costock was an agricultural village. Its name is thought to derive from the Old English words "Cott" (cottage or dwelling) and "Stoc" (place or enclosure), suggesting a settlement with cottages.
The village features a church, St. Giles' Church, which dates back to the 13th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.
