Community Hall (Oregon State University)
Community Hall is a residence hall located on the Oregon State University (OSU) campus in Corvallis, Oregon. Situated within the McNary Quadrangle, also known as the "Quad," it is one of several traditional-style residence halls housing primarily first-year students.
Community Hall, along with its quad-mates, provides a living-learning environment focused on fostering community and supporting students' transition to university life. Resident advisors (RAs) are assigned to each floor and provide guidance, programming, and support to residents. These programs often include social activities, academic workshops, and opportunities for community service.
The hall typically offers double and triple occupancy rooms, although specific room configurations may vary. Amenities commonly found within Community Hall include shared bathrooms on each floor, study lounges, a community kitchen, and laundry facilities. Residents also have access to wireless internet throughout the building.
As part of the McNary Quadrangle, Community Hall residents are in close proximity to other residence halls, dining centers (such as Arnold Dining Center), recreational facilities (including Dixon Recreation Center), and academic buildings on the OSU campus. The Quad itself often serves as a central gathering space for students, particularly during warmer months.
The hall’s management and operation are overseen by University Housing & Dining Services, a department within Oregon State University responsible for providing on-campus housing and dining options for students. Detailed information about Community Hall, including room rates, floor plans, and specific amenities, can be found on the University Housing & Dining Services website.
