Chuck (Sum 41 album)

Chuck is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41, released on October 12, 2004. It is named in honor of Chuck Pelletier, a UN peacekeeper who aided the band's evacuation from the Democratic Republic of Congo during the filming of a documentary about the Congolese civil war.

The album marked a shift in Sum 41's sound, incorporating heavier and more politically charged themes compared to their earlier, more pop-punk oriented work. While still retaining elements of their signature style, Chuck featured more aggressive guitar riffs, complex song structures, and lyrics addressing issues such as war, corruption, and social injustice.

Several singles were released from the album, including "We're All to Blame," "Pieces," and "Some Say." Chuck received generally positive reviews and achieved commercial success, reaching number 2 on the Canadian Albums Chart and peaking within the top 10 in several other countries. It is considered by many fans and critics to be one of Sum 41's most significant and mature albums. The album's artwork features a photograph of Chuck Pelletier.
