Igor Denisov (politician)
Igor Nikolaevich Denisov (born November 11, 1941, in the village of Kozelsk, Tula Oblast, Russia) is a Russian politician. He served as the Governor of the Kamchatka Oblast from 1991 to 1996. Prior to becoming Governor, he held positions within the Communist Party structure of the Kamchatka Oblast. Following his tenure as Governor, Denisov has been involved in regional and local politics in the Kamchatka region. His governorship occurred during the turbulent period of Russia's transition following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
