Chris Edwards (Canadian football)

Chris Edwards is a professional Canadian football defensive back who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Edwards has also played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Edwards began his CFL career with the Edmonton Eskimos (later Elks) in 2016. He quickly established himself as a key member of their defense, known for his aggressive play and ability to make game-changing interceptions and tackles. He played with Edmonton until 2019, before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2020. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Edwards joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He returned to the Edmonton Elks in 2022.

Edwards is known for his hard-hitting style and coverage skills. He has been recognized as an All-Star during his CFL career.
