Chienti

The Chienti is a river in the Marche region of Italy. It rises in the Sibilline Mountains, near Serravalle di Chienti, and flows for approximately 91 kilometers (57 miles) eastward into the Adriatic Sea near Civitanova Marche. The river's drainage basin is primarily located within the province of Macerata.

The Chienti river valley has been inhabited since ancient times, and numerous Roman settlements and archaeological sites are found along its course. The river has historically been important for agriculture, transportation, and as a source of power for mills and other industries.

The Chienti is subject to seasonal variations in flow, with higher levels during the wetter months and lower levels during the summer.
