Charlotte River (Grenada)
The Charlotte River is a river located on the island of Grenada. It flows in a generally easterly direction, originating in the interior mountains and emptying into the Atlantic Ocean on Grenada's east coast. The river is relatively short, and its watershed is within the Saint Andrew Parish. The surrounding terrain is characterized by lush tropical vegetation, and the river is subject to significant rainfall throughout the year. Local communities depend on the Charlotte River for agricultural irrigation and, to a lesser extent, as a source of fresh water. The river's flow can vary considerably, becoming a fast-flowing torrent during periods of heavy rainfall and reduced to a more gentle stream during drier seasons.
