Charles Bennett (actor)
Charles Bennett (1889 – 1943) was an English actor. He appeared primarily in British films of the silent and early sound era. Often cast in supporting roles, Bennett was known for his portrayals of character parts ranging from comedic to somewhat sinister. He appeared in films such as The Third String (1932), The Private Secretary (1928), and The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927) directed by Alfred Hitchcock, where he played a dancing partner. His career spanned from the mid-1920s until his death in 1943.
