Chambers Street station (IRT Sixth Avenue Line)

The Chambers Street station was a station on the demolished IRT Sixth Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had two tracks and two side platforms. It was located at Chambers Street and West Broadway. Opened in 1878 as part of the original Sixth Avenue Elevated line, it served as a local station. The station closed on December 4, 1938, with the rest of the Sixth Avenue Elevated as the IRT Sixth Avenue Line was being dismantled. No evidence of the station remains today.
