Carlos Blanco (footballer, born 1996)

Carlos Blanco Moreno (born 1 February 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back.

Career

Blanco began his career in the youth ranks of FC Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, where he played from 2006 to 2014. He departed Barcelona in 2014 and subsequently joined Juventus' youth setup.

He moved to England in 2016, signing for Juventus' partner club Middlesbrough. He initially played for their U23 team.

In January 2018, Blanco signed for Swansea City. He spent time on loan at Lierse in Belgium during his spell with Swansea.

In August 2019, he returned to Spain, joining Atlético Baleares.

In January 2020, he signed for Marbella FC.

In July 2020, he joined FC Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia.

In February 2021, he moved to Wisła Kraków in Poland.

In June 2022, Blanco signed for San Fernando CD Isleño.

International Career

Blanco has represented Spain at various youth levels, including the under-17 and under-19 teams.

Carlos Blanco is a centre-back known for his strong tackling, aerial ability, and composure on the ball. He is comfortable playing out from the back and is known for his leadership qualities.
