Claude Ritchey
Claude Ritchey (1877 – 1960) was an American professional baseball player who played shortstop in Major League Baseball from 1901 to 1910. He played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Doves/Rustlers/Braves, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Ritchey was known for his defensive skills and consistent hitting. He was part of the Pittsburgh Pirates team that won the 1909 World Series, though he didn't participate in the series itself. Ritchey primarily played shortstop but also appeared at second base and third base throughout his career. After his playing career, he remained involved in baseball as a coach and scout.
