Carlos, Carlos Marin (Il Divo)

Carlos Marin (October 13, 1968 – December 19, 2021) was a Spanish baritone singer and a member of the multinational vocal group Il Divo. Il Divo has sold over 30 million records worldwide.

Marin was born in Rüsselsheim, Germany, to Spanish parents. He moved to Spain at the age of 12. His musical career began at a young age, and he released his first album, "The Little Caruso," at the age of eight. He performed in several musicals and operas before joining Il Divo in 2003.

Il Divo achieved international success with their blend of opera and pop music. Marin was known for his powerful voice and stage presence. The group released numerous albums and toured extensively.

Beyond Il Divo, Marin pursued solo projects, including a solo album titled "En Concierto."

Marin died on December 19, 2021, in Manchester, England, after being hospitalized with COVID-19. His death was widely mourned by fans and colleagues. His legacy as a talented singer and a member of one of the most successful crossover vocal groups remains.
