CMLL Universal Championship (2009)

The CMLL Universal Championship (2009) was a professional wrestling tournament promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2009. The tournament brought together champions from various CMLL championships, as well as the winner of the 2009 La Copa Junior. The purpose was to determine a single "Universal Champion" representing the best of CMLL's championship holders. The tournament consisted of a series of single-elimination matches, with the participants being seeded based on their championship status. Último Guerrero won the tournament, defeating Black Warrior in the final. The tournament format included two qualifying blocks with a final match between the two block winners.
