Versant (band)

Versant was an indie rock band formed in Nottingham, England in 2003. The band consisted of brothers Ed and Olly Clarke (vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), as well as Ben Clarke (bass).

Versant gained attention for their energetic live performances and melodic songwriting. They were often compared to bands like The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys. They released several singles and EPs, including "Start Bleeding" and "5am".

The band released their debut album, "Versant," in 2007. While critically well-received in some circles, the album did not achieve significant commercial success. They toured extensively in support of the album, playing numerous festivals and headlining shows across the UK and Europe.

Versant disbanded in 2009. After the split, members pursued other musical projects. Ed Clarke went on to work as a songwriter and producer. The reasons for the band's disbandment were not publicly disclosed, though reports at the time cited creative differences.
