Bruce Cowling
Bruce Cowling (born July 17, 1919, Trenton, New Jersey – died April 23, 1986, Woodland Hills, California) was an American actor. Cowling was primarily known for his work in film and television during the 1940s and 1950s. Often cast in supporting roles, he appeared in numerous Westerns, dramas, and comedies.
Some of Cowling's notable film credits include appearances in The Big Sleep (1946), Pursued (1947), and The Story of Molly X (1949). He also made guest appearances on popular television shows such as The Lone Ranger, The Adventures of Superman, and Gunsmoke.
Cowling retired from acting in the late 1950s. His career, though not leading man status, cemented him as a familiar face in the Golden Age of Hollywood.
