Brad Smith (footballer, born 1977)

Brad Smith (born 20 January 1977) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Smith was drafted by West Coast from East Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) with pick 48 in the 1997 AFL Draft. A utility player, he played mostly as a defender and occasionally in the midfield.

He made his AFL debut in 1998 and played 72 games for the Eagles between 1998 and 2003. He was known for his strong marking and tackling ability. He was delisted at the end of the 2003 season.

Following his AFL career, Smith returned to the WAFL and played for East Perth.
