Brévands
Brévands is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy, northwestern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Carentan-les-Marais. Brévands was situated within the Parc naturel régional des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin (Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes). The area is primarily agricultural, characterized by pastureland and marshland. Historically, Brévands played a role in the Battle of Normandy during World War II, particularly in the efforts to secure control of causeways across the marshlands.
