Boule d'Or (cycling team)
Boule d'Or was a Belgian professional cycling team that existed from 1969 to 1982. The team's name, which translates to "Golden Ball," was derived from a Belgian brewery. Over the years, the team was also known under slightly varying names depending on sponsorship, including Boule d'Or-Colnago-Gios (in 1981) and Boule d'Or-Sunair (in 1982).
Notable riders who competed for Boule d'Or included Freddy Maertens, who achieved significant victories while riding for the team. Other prominent cyclists who rode for Boule d'Or include Patrick Sercu, Michel Pollentier, and Guido Van Sweevelt.
