Patrick Chaize
Patrick Chaize (born June 11, 1953, in Firminy, Loire) is a French politician. He has served as a member of the Senate of France, representing the Loire department, since 2008. He is a member of the Les Républicains (LR) party.
Chaize has been actively involved in local and regional politics for many years. Prior to his senatorial career, he served as the mayor of Tarentaise from 1995 to 2017. His work in the Senate has primarily focused on issues related to infrastructure, local government, and digital technology. He has been particularly involved in discussions and legislation concerning the deployment of broadband and mobile networks in rural areas of France, advocating for policies to bridge the digital divide. He has also served on various committees related to regional development and spatial planning.
