Bobby Powell (musician)

Bobby Powell (1944 – December 14, 2009) was an American soul and blues singer, pianist, and songwriter. He was born in Bay Minette, Alabama. Powell was known for his deep, soulful voice and often melancholy songs. He began his musical career in the early 1960s, releasing singles on various labels including Whit Records.
