Bobby Hoy
Bobby Hoy (born Robert "Bobby" Lee Hoy, April 27, 1949) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) and World Football League (WFL).
Hoy was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 1971 NFL Draft. He was later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles where he served as the starting quarterback for several seasons in the early 1970s. His tenure with the Eagles was marked by inconsistent play and a struggling team.
Following his time with the Eagles, Hoy played for the Chicago Fire of the World Football League in 1974. After the WFL folded, he briefly returned to the NFL, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1976.
Hoy's professional football career was relatively short and he is not typically considered a notable figure in NFL history, but he is remembered by Philadelphia Eagles fans from the 1970s.
