Postcombe

Postcombe is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, England. It is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Thame.

The village lies on the A40 road, formerly the main road between London and Oxford. Historically, Postcombe was an important coaching stop.

The Domesday Book of 1086 records Postcombe as "Postecumbe". The name is believed to derive from Old English, possibly meaning "Post's valley" or "valley with a post."

The parish church of St. Mary Magdalene dates back to the 13th century, though it has undergone several renovations and restorations over the centuries.
