Bob Evans (coach)

Bob Evans is a former American college basketball coach. He is best known for his long and successful tenure as the head coach of the University of Denver Pioneers men's basketball team from 1980 to 1997. During his time at Denver, he led the Pioneers to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and NIT bids. Prior to Denver, Evans held coaching positions at St. Michael's College and Regis College. He is credited with building the Denver program into a consistent contender in its conference during his leadership. After leaving Denver, Evans continued to be involved in basketball, often as a commentator and analyst. His coaching career spanned several decades, contributing to the development of numerous players and leaving a lasting impact on the programs he led.
