Bill Oliver (politician)

Bill Oliver is a former politician from the Canadian province of New Brunswick. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the riding of Kings East.

Oliver was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in the 1999 provincial election, defeating Liberal incumbent Aldea Landry. He was re-elected in the 2003, 2006 and 2010 provincial elections.

During his time in the Legislative Assembly, Oliver held various cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Transportation, Minister of Natural Resources, and Minister of Justice and Attorney General.

Oliver did not seek re-election in the 2014 provincial election. Since leaving politics, he has remained active in his community.
