Francisco López (footballer, born 1962)

Francisco López (born September 23, 1962) is a retired Spanish footballer who played as a defender.

López spent the majority of his professional career with CD Castellón, making over 200 league appearances for the club. He joined Castellón in 1986 and remained a key part of their defense until his departure. He experienced promotion to La Liga with Castellón during the 1988-89 season, subsequently playing in the Spanish top flight.

Before joining Castellón, López played for several other Spanish clubs including Valencia Mestalla, the reserve team of Valencia CF, and Levante UD.

After retiring from playing, López remained involved in football, working in various coaching and administrative roles. Details of his post-playing career are not widely documented but he has maintained connections to the Castellón area.
