Bill Hewitt (basketball)

William "Bill" Hewitt (born August 8, 1944) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'7" forward, Hewitt played college basketball at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1965 to 1967. He was a key contributor to the USC Trojans team that reached the NCAA Tournament in 1967.

Following his collegiate career, Hewitt was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1967 NBA draft. He played one season in the NBA for the Lakers during the 1967-68 season, averaging 2.0 points per game in limited action. After his brief NBA career, Hewitt played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) for the Oakland Oaks and the Denver Rockets during the 1968-69 season.
