Bill Caldwell (American football)
Bill Caldwell (born February 20, 1939) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Davidson College (1975–1977), North Carolina A&T State University (1978–1987), Princeton University (1988–2000), and Wake Forest University (2001–2002), compiling a career college football record of 143–129–4.
Caldwell is known for his successful tenures at North Carolina A&T, where he led the Aggies to three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championships, and at Princeton, where he guided the Tigers to three Ivy League titles. He was twice named the MEAC Coach of the Year and also received Ivy League Coach of the Year honors. His overall record and consistent winning seasons at multiple institutions cemented his reputation as a respected coach in college football.
