Thomas Campbell (visual artist)

Thomas Campbell (born 1969) is an American contemporary visual artist, known for his mixed-media works that incorporate painting, sculpture, and filmmaking. Often associated with the Beautiful Losers movement, his art draws inspiration from surf culture, skateboarding, folk art, and a general do-it-yourself aesthetic.

Campbell's work frequently features vibrant colors, whimsical characters, and a collage-like approach to composition. He often uses found materials, such as scraps of wood, fabric, and discarded objects, adding texture and a sense of history to his pieces. His paintings and sculptures often depict surfers, skaters, and other figures engaged in leisure activities, reflecting his own interests and lifestyle.
