Big Thing (Blue Zone album)

Big Thing is the only studio album by British blue-eyed soul band Blue Zone, released in 1988. The album spawned three singles: "On Fire," "Thinking About His Baby," and "Jackie."

Big Thing failed to achieve significant commercial success upon its release. The album is notable primarily for featuring Lisa Stansfield as the lead vocalist, prior to her subsequent breakthrough as a solo artist. The album's sound is characterized by its blend of soul, pop, and dance music influences, typical of the late 1980s. Production credits include contributions from Ian Devaney and Andy Morris, who would later form part of Stansfield's solo backing band and production team. While not a chart-topping album, Big Thing provides an early glimpse into the talent that would later define Stansfield's successful solo career.
