Bethlehem Steel (band)

Bethlehem Steel was an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York in the early 2010s. The band consisted of Rebecca Ryskalczyk (vocals, guitar), Christina Puerto (bass), and Patrick Ronayne (drums). Initially, the group also featured a second guitarist.

Known for their emotionally raw and often lyrically dense songs, Bethlehem Steel's music blended elements of indie rock, emo, and alternative rock. Ryskalczyk's distinctive vocal delivery, characterized by both fragility and intensity, was a defining feature of their sound. The band's songwriting often explored themes of personal struggle, mental health, relationships, and societal anxieties.

Bethlehem Steel released several EPs and two full-length albums: Party Naked Forever (2017) and No Body Asked (2019), both on Exploding in Sound Records. They gained a dedicated following within the independent music scene, praised for their honest and introspective songwriting, and energetic live performances.

The band officially disbanded in 2020.
