Ben Ward (rugby union)

Ben Ward (born c. 1975) is a former English rugby union player and current rugby coach. He primarily played fly-half.

Playing Career:

Ward played professionally for several clubs in England, including Sale Sharks and Harlequins. He was known for his tactical kicking, game management, and place-kicking abilities. While not capped at the senior international level for England, he represented England Saxons, the second-tier national team.

Coaching Career:

After retiring from playing, Ward transitioned into coaching. He became known for his long tenure as Head Coach of Ealing Trailfinders. Under his leadership, Ealing Trailfinders rose through the leagues of English rugby, achieving consistent success in the Championship. He left Ealing Trailfinders in 2023. As of late 2023, he took up a role at Ampthill RUFC.
