Bell Road (Phoenix Metro)

Bell Road is a major east-west arterial road located in the Phoenix metropolitan area of Arizona, primarily situated in the northern suburbs. It spans across several cities and towns, including Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.

Bell Road's significance lies in its role as a high-traffic commercial corridor and a vital transportation route connecting the western and eastern portions of the metro area. The road is characterized by its high density of retail businesses, restaurants, office complexes, and residential developments.

The road experiences significant traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours. Various efforts have been made over the years to alleviate traffic issues, including widening projects, intersection improvements, and the implementation of traffic management systems.

Bell Road's western terminus is generally considered to be near State Route 303 (Loop 303) in Surprise. The eastern end is near Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, although it continues east of Scottsdale Road under a different name. The section east of Scottsdale Road is frequently referred to as Bell Road by locals despite the change in the official street name.

The road's importance to the region's economy and transportation network ensures its continued relevance in the development and planning of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
