International Political Sociology (journal)
International Political Sociology (IPS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research at the intersection of international relations and sociological theory. It aims to understand global politics through a sociological lens, focusing on themes such as globalization, transnationalism, security, identity, norms, and the role of non-state actors. The journal is particularly interested in analyses that challenge conventional understandings of international politics and offer innovative theoretical and methodological approaches. IPS seeks to bridge the gap between the disciplines of international relations and sociology, fostering interdisciplinary scholarship and critical inquiry. It is published quarterly by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the International Studies Association. The journal welcomes contributions from a diverse range of theoretical perspectives, including but not limited to constructivism, poststructuralism, critical theory, and feminism.
