Banu Lahab
Banu Lahab (بنو لهب) was a clan of the larger Quda'a tribal confederation, which itself is considered a southern Arabian (Yemeni) tribe. Banu Lahab's lineage traces back to Lahab ibn Amr ibn Quda'a. The clan held significance in the pre-Islamic era and early Islamic history of the Arabian Peninsula. While not as prominently featured as some other tribes, the Banu Lahab are mentioned in genealogical and historical texts documenting the tribal structure and affiliations of the time. The exact territories inhabited by the Banu Lahab varied over time, but were generally located within the broader region associated with the Quda'a confederation. Information on their specific role in major historical events is limited, although they were likely involved in the inter-tribal dynamics and conflicts common in pre-Islamic Arabia and the subsequent expansion of Islam.
