BMW 8 Series (G15)
The BMW 8 Series (G15) is a grand tourer produced by BMW since 2018. It serves as the successor to the F06/F12/F13 BMW 6 Series range. The G15 is available as a two-door coupé (G15), a convertible (G14), and a four-door Gran Coupé (G16).
The G15 8 Series represents a return to the large, luxurious coupé market for BMW, a segment they had previously explored with the original E31 8 Series (1989-1999). The design of the G15 draws inspiration from the E31, but incorporates modern BMW design language.
Engine options vary depending on the market, and have included inline-six petrol and diesel engines, as well as V8 petrol engines. Performance variants, badged as M8, are also available.
Key features of the G15 8 Series include a focus on luxury, performance, and advanced technology. It incorporates features such as BMW's latest iDrive infotainment system, driver-assistance systems, and premium materials throughout the interior.
The introduction of the G15 8 Series solidified BMW's position in the high-end grand tourer market, offering a blend of performance and luxury aimed at competing with other manufacturers in the same segment.
