Bent (album)
Bent is the debut studio album by the American rock band Matchbox Twenty, released on April 18, 2000. The album followed their hugely successful debut, Yourself or Someone Like You. Bent was produced by Matt Serletic, who also produced their first album. The album's title track, "Bent," became a major hit, and the album also spawned other successful singles such as "If You're Gone" and "Mad Season". Bent explored themes of love, loss, and emotional vulnerability, and featured a more mature and polished sound compared to the band's earlier work. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and achieving multi-platinum certification. It cemented Matchbox Twenty's status as a prominent act in the late 1990s and early 2000s rock scene.
