Arthur Engel (mathematician)
Arthur Engel (1928 – 2005) was a German mathematics educator and problem writer. He is best known for his influential book Problem-Solving Strategies for Mathematical Competitions, which has been translated into multiple languages and is widely used by students and teachers preparing for mathematical olympiads and other competitions.
