Arkema is a specialty chemicals and advanced materials company headquartered in Colombes, near Paris, France. It operates globally with manufacturing sites in Europe, North America, and Asia.

Arkema was created in 2004 when Total S.A., a major oil and gas company, restructured its chemicals business. Initially composed of three business segments (Vinyl Products, Industrial Chemicals, and Performance Products), Arkema subsequently streamlined its operations to focus on specialty materials.
