Ann Christy (singer)
Ann Christy (7 September 1945 – 7 August 1984) was a Belgian singer. She was born Christiane Leenaerts in Antwerp.
Christy began her career in the 1960s, performing primarily in Dutch. She achieved significant popularity in Flanders and became a well-known figure in the Belgian music scene.
She represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 with the song "Gelukkig zijn" ("To Be Happy"), finishing 15th.
Christy continued to record and perform throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s. She is remembered for her distinctive voice and her contribution to Belgian popular music.
Ann Christy died of cancer in 1984 at the age of 38.
