Andrew King (music manager)
Andrew King is a British music manager best known for co-founding Blackhill Enterprises with Peter Jenner and for managing the early careers of the band Pink Floyd. Blackhill Enterprises was a pioneering management company in the London psychedelic scene of the late 1960s.
King, along with Jenner, discovered Pink Floyd at the UFO Club and played a crucial role in securing their first record deal with EMI. They managed the band through their psychedelic era, including the albums The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and A Saucerful of Secrets. King's management also extended to other notable artists of the era.
Beyond Pink Floyd, King's influence extended to managing other bands and artists. He later pursued other ventures within the music industry. Further details regarding his later career and current activities are less widely documented, and readily available information primarily focuses on his involvement with Blackhill Enterprises and the early years of Pink Floyd.
