André Harvey (MNA)
André Harvey (born December 4, 1941) is a Canadian politician. He was a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for the riding of Chicoutimi in Quebec, Canada.
Harvey was first elected in the 1994 Quebec general election as a member of the Parti Québécois (PQ). He was re-elected in the 1998, 2003, and 2007 elections. During his time in the National Assembly, he served in various roles, including parliamentary secretary.
Harvey's political career ended in 2010 when he was expelled from the Parti Québécois caucus and sat as an independent. This followed allegations of inappropriate behavior and a police investigation. He did not run for re-election in the 2012 Quebec general election.
Prior to entering politics, Harvey worked as a teacher and school administrator. He holds degrees in education and public administration.
