Domino (character)

Domino is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/co-writer Rob Liefeld, Domino first appeared in X-Force #8 (March 1992), although the character's first full appearance was later retconned as being a shapeshifting mutant named Copycat.

Publication History

Domino was originally intended as a member of the Wild Pack, a team of mercenaries led by Cable. However, editorial decisions led to the character being delayed and replaced by Copycat in disguise for several issues. The genuine Domino eventually debuted later in X-Force.

Fictional Character Biography

Neena Thurman, codenamed Domino, is a mutant with the power to subconsciously and psionically manipulate probability in her favor. This ability essentially grants her "luck" in combat and other situations. She was the product of a top-secret government breeding program, Project Armageddon, designed to create the perfect weapon. After escaping the project as an infant, she was raised by a priest in Chicago.

Domino has a long history as a mercenary, often working alongside Cable and other members of X-Force. She has also operated independently and with other teams. Her past is shrouded in secrecy, and she has faced numerous threats from both human and mutant adversaries.
