Ana Maria Rodriguez (politician)

Ana Maria Rodriguez (born February 24, 1974) is a Republican politician currently serving as a Florida State Senator for District 40, encompassing parts of Miami-Dade County. Prior to her election to the Senate in 2020, she served in the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 105 from 2018 to 2020 and District 118 from 2012 to 2016.

Rodriguez was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Florida International University.

Her legislative priorities have included issues related to healthcare, economic development, and environmental protection, particularly concerning the Florida Everglades and coastal regions. During her time in the legislature, she has sponsored and co-sponsored numerous bills related to these issues.
