Alfred Carpenter (rugby union)
Alfred Carpenter (dates of birth and death needed) was a rugby union footballer who played primarily at the Centre position. He represented England in one international match.
Carpenter played his club rugby for Oxford University. He earned his sole international cap for England in the 1876 Home Nations match against Scotland, played at The Oval, London. England lost the match by one goal to nil. Very little other information is readily available about his rugby career or his life outside of the sport.
