Albert Meyer (politician)
Albert Meyer (October 13, 1870 – October 22, 1953) was a Swiss politician and member of the Swiss Federal Council (1929-1938).
Meyer was a member of the Free Democratic Party of Switzerland. He was born in Fällanden, Canton Zurich.
He was elected to the Federal Council on December 12, 1929, and resigned on December 31, 1938. During his time in office, he headed the Department of Home Affairs.
Meyer served as President of the Confederation in 1936.
