Al-Ariqah

Al-Ariqah (Arabic: العريقة) refers to a historical region and settlement in southwestern Saudi Arabia, specifically located within the 'Asir Region. It is known for its strategic location along ancient trade routes and its significance in the pre-Islamic and early Islamic periods.

Al-Ariqah historically served as a vital stopping point for caravans traveling between Yemen and Mecca, and further north. Its fertile land and access to water resources contributed to its agricultural prosperity.
