Abadazad

Abadazad is a fictional world created by author J.M. DeMatteis and artist Mike Ploog. It is the setting for a series of children's books published by Disney Hyperion. The world of Abadazad is a land of dreams and imagination, populated by a diverse array of creatures and governed by the power of stories.

The Abadazad series focuses on the adventures of Kate Kingsbury, a young girl who discovers a portal to this fantastical realm. Within Abadazad, Kate learns she has a crucial role to play in the ongoing conflict between the forces of light and darkness, represented by the Light Keepers and the Shadow Keepers respectively.

The defining characteristic of Abadazad is its malleability, shaped and influenced by the collective dreams and stories of humans from the "real world." This makes Abadazad a dynamic and ever-changing place, filled with both wonder and peril.
