2015 European Championship (darts)
The 2015 European Championship was a professional darts tournament held from October 29 to November 1, 2015, at the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. It was the eighth edition of the European Championship, organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
The tournament featured the top 32 players from the PDC European Order of Merit. The field included established stars of the game, as well as emerging talents from the European circuit. The event was played in a knockout format, with matches progressively increasing in length as players advanced through the rounds.
Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion, having won the title in 2014. He successfully defended his title, defeating Gary Anderson in the final with a score of 11-10. This marked van Gerwen's second European Championship victory.
The tournament was broadcast live on television across Europe and internationally, providing extensive coverage of the event. The prize fund for the tournament was £300,000, with the winner receiving £65,000.
